Hailing from Jharkhand, Gomke Bimal Lakra set his foot on the soil of Assam, at Maligaon, Guwahti at the tender age of 12, in the year 1969. Ever since, he has breathed the air of North East and shed the perspiration of his tireless life, for the welfare and upliftment of the people of the region, particularly those of Adivasis in Assam.

His note able achievements, ever since he began taking up responsibilities, after his studies (Priestly) and qualification (M.Phil in Social Work from TISS, Mumbai)  are the following:

1. Founder of AIDA, the Social Development Wing of the Salesians of Don Bosco, of the Province of  Dimapur, in 1985.
2. Founder of Don Bosco Junior College, Doom Dooma, Tinsukia in 2000.
3. Founder of AGUA – Agency for Growth and Upliftment of Adivasis, based at Doom Dooma, Tinsukia  in 2001.
4. Co-founder of  Don Bosco Degree College, Golaghat, Assam, 2015.
5. Co-founder of AYIMA in 2021

Through all these Institutions and Organisations, he has been the mentor and career maker for over 600 youth of North East and a solace and a support for numerous people in grief and in need. 

( P.S. Currently Gomke Bimal Lakra, Sdb is a Research Scholar, from Assam Don Bosco University, Sonapur, Assam, doing his Ph.D on the topic "A Study on the Search for Social Identity by Assam Adivasis: Their Struggle for Obtaining Scheduled Tribe Status".)

Born as ‘Birsa’ on a Thursday in a nondescript rural settling, Louis Aind was brought up by his loving parents- Gabriel Aind and Bernadette Topno in a village interestingly named as Purani Garaj in the present Biswanath district of Assam.

He completed his Bachelor of Philosophy from Jnana Deepa Vidyapeeth, Pune in 1984, Bachelor of Arts from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong in 1985 and a certificate program on ‘International Peace and Conflict Resolutions’ from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2012. 

Among a host of courses he underwent during his professional career, ‘Course on ‘Crisis Negotiation’ conducted by FBI, USA in Delhi; ‘Special Commando Course’ in Punjab and ‘Police Commando Course’ at National Security Guard, Haryana top the chart.

He is thankful to his superiors for having been entrusted with some major assignments in his career, such as- Deputy Inspector General of Police (Special Branch), Assam; Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Guwahati City; Supdt of Police, Golaghat & Goalpara; Supdt of Police, Chief Minister’s Security and Transmission Executive in All India Radio, Guwahati, among others. 

Some of his most memorable moments have been- being selected to participate in Rotary Peace Symposium held at Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2016; being invited to speak at Inter-Country Meet on ‘Peace-building’ at Shantiniketan, Kolkata; winning the Best Cadet Trophy for outdoor curriculum at Police Training College, Assam; ranking second in the merit list of Assam Police Service under APSC in 1993 and topping the merit list of Staff Selection Commission and being selected as Transmission Executive in All India Radio, Guwahati in 1989
He is the recipient of ‘President’s Medal for Meritorious Service’ and Chief Minister's Medal for Outstanding Professional Competence among others.

After his retirement in March, 2021, he has been working in the area of bringing various the non-state armed actors to the negotiation table with the Government for an amicable solution. He is also the co-founder of weekly global webinar called ‘AYIMA’. He is also the co-founder of AYIMA.

Thaddaeus Jude Xalxo is a development professional with over 20 years of experience in Organizational Management, programme and project management, planning & strategizing, NRM management, rural/micro & enterprise development, monitoring, evaluation, learning & documentation, Institution building, capacity building, training and liaise with Govt. and private agencies. He has worked or led in different national and international organizations including the Govt. of Meghalaya (MBDA/MBMA), DoLR Govt. of India for IWMP, World Bank Project, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD – NERCOMP & MRDS), British Council (ADB/JFPR Project), Winrock India International/KfW, Microsave India Ltd, Local NGOs, et.al.

Rose Merlyn Nag is a Sr. Fraud Detection Analyst at the oldest Canadian bank based in Toronto, Canada. She hails from Guwahati, Assam but went to New Delhi for her graduation and completed her education there. She started her career with Google as an Online Strategist but found her calling in the financial sector by being employed with American Express (Amex) as a Fraud Detection Analyst. She worked there for over 4 years and during that time frame, had the opportunity to take up the senior position with the same institution in Toronto, Canada. She came and joined American Express Canada in July, 2019. After a short stint with Amex, Canada, she decided to permanently venture into the Canadian Banking sector and hence in November 2019, she joined again as a Senior Fraud Detection Analyst, but this time with the prestigious Bank of Montreal in Canada. She has been employed there ever since and does have so far a total of 5.5 years of experience in the Fraud department of a financial institution

Has been designing websites since 1997. After working with many companies in India and in Mauritius now he is working for himself. He is passionate about Photography and he loves to travel. Originally from Nogaon Assam now settled in Mauritius Island.
